Extreme 2023 Tour Announcement – Thicker Than Blood Tour Schedule
Extreme is heading on the “Thicker Than Blood tour” in the latter part of summer 2023! Joined by Living Colour, the rock band will begin on August 2nd in Portland, ME. They’ll continue through August 29th in Seattle, WA.
Earlier this year, Extreme announced SIX, their fifth album and first in over a decade! Due out on June 9th, fans eagerly await the follow-up to 2008’s Saudades de Rock. Extreme also released a music video for the lead single, “Rise,” which has racked up nearly 3 million views on YouTube. The clip was directed by Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, who also delivers what many believe to be one of his greatest guitar solos of all time.
Seriously, just head to the 2:20 mark on the “Rise” video to get a taste of Bettencourt’s magic fingers! This solo is fast, technical, creative, and all kinds of rock and roll…a true testament to the glam metal magic that Extreme has made for almost four decades. And can you even imagine hearing the guitar god conquer that solo live? Spoiler alert: you’ll be able to every night on the Extreme tour, as these icons are back with a vengeance.
What else will you be hearing at an Extreme concert? We have a few guesses. The Boston-based group will likely play a few tracks off their most commercially successful record, 1990’s Pornograffitti. It reached double platinum status and spawned catchy singles like “Get the Funk Out,” “Hole Hearted,” “Decadence Dance,” and “More Than Words!” Other Extreme songs likely to be on the setlist include “Rest in Peace,” “Play with Me,” and “Cupid’s Dead.” Plus, the new songs from SIX, of course.

Plenty of rock bands, like Jethro Tull, reemerged in the 2020s after a decade-plus hiatus. But is it wrong to say that we may just be most excited about Extreme?
