Eddie Vedder 2022 Tour Announcement – Earthlings Tour Schedule
Eddie Vedder has announced the Earthlings tour for early 2022, a brief trek that hits six major cities. The Pearl Jam vocalist will head to Seattle, WA, Chicago, IL, Los Angeles, CA, and more in support of his upcoming solo album, beginning February 2nd in New York, NY.
Vedder has begun quite a few side projects over the years, taking brief breaks from Pearl Jam to create ukulele covers and songs for movies like Into the Wild. The Earthlings is his latest venture, making its live debut in September 2021 at the Ohana festival and announcing a tour and album for 2022.
It’s not just the first solo Eddie Vedder tour in a decade, but also a new musical journey for the famed frontman. He’ll be playing alongside a number of veteran musicians, including Chad Smith and Josh Klinghoffer from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Janes Addiction bassist Chris Chaney! Two tracks have already been released, “Long Way” and “The Haves,” which are a bit more wordly takes on Vedder’s usual brand of alternative rock and grunge.
Eddie Vedder can do just about anything musically – from strumming on the ukulele to growling the most gritty lyrics on Pearl Jam songs. But he’s going in a new direction with the Earthlings, one that we won’t fully understand until the tour and album happen in 2022.
