Deadmau5 2022 Tour Announcement – We Are Friends Tour Schedule
Deadmau5 is set for the We Are Friends tour in summer 2022, and we can’t wait to see the EDM icon. He’ll kick off the trek on July 15th in Philadelphia, PA, and continue through December 16th in Boston, MA.
If we’ve learned anything from Deadmau5’s nearly 25 years in the music industry, he does not like to sit idly for long. He’s always booking tours, festivals, and other gigs that get him in front of a big crowd, which explains why he’s been performing practically nonstop since live music returned in summer 2021. He’s accomplished many post-pandemic shows, including his October festival called “Day of the Deadmau5”, but he’s not quite finished yet. That’s why he’s bringing fellow dance heroes like Nero, Kasablanca, Bensley, Lupa, and more on the road with him in summer 2022.
The We Are Friends tour isn’t just referring to the incredible lineup of supporting acts but also the fans that have supported Deadmau5 for decades. The world-famous DJ has been playing EDM and progressive house hits since the late 1990s, and his signature LED helmet has become a symbol of the genre. He’s inspired artists like Skrillex, Marshmallow, and Kaskade, the last he collaborated with in early 2022, to form an EDM supergroup.
Deadmau5 and Kaskade together form Kx5, who released their first single, “Escape,” in March. Fans on YouTube commented on the track’s nostalgic feel that could be “the start of the revival of progressive house” or “reminiscent of the peak era of EDM.” It’s definitely representative of both DJs and their distinctive artistry, and we can’t wait to see what they do next.
