A new Dawes tour is in the books, taking on an “Evening with Dawes”-style format with two sets each night! See the folk-rock band beginning March 2nd in Birmingham, AL, with stops in Chicago, IL, New York, NY, Madison, WI, and more before concluding on May 5th in Los Angeles, CA.
“Happy to announce the Misadventures of Doomscroller headline tour,” Dawes wrote on Twitter. “2 sets. Just us. Long nights. Full hearts. Come early. We’ll all have to break out the catalog master lists and bingo cards as we try to get to every song we’ve got.” They’re still celebrating their eighth album, Misadventures of Doomscroller, released in July 2022, but it sounds like we can expect to hear a blend of both old and new songs. Dawes has been a force to be reckoned with in the folk-rock world since 2009, after all, and we can’t wait to see what they have planned.
What is the “Evening With” format, exactly? It’s a trek that excludes an opening act and consists of a two-to-three-hour headlining show. Dawes will have plenty of time to whip out their acoustic guitars for a while before blaring out the more upbeat tracks, and we like it that way!
