Creed 2024 Tour Announcement – Summer of ’99 Tour Schedule
Creed is coming back for more in 2024! The 90s rock heroes will kick off their much-anticipated reunion trek, dubbed the “Summer of ’99 Tour,” on July 17th in Green Day, WI. They’ll continue for more than two months before wrapping up on September 28th in Atlantic City, NJ.
“It’s time to ROCK. The wait is over!” Creed wrote on Instagram along with a clip of the group rehearsing. “Creed is returning to stages across North America for the first time in 12 years.” They also poked fun at the fact that their Summer of ’99 Cruise, scheduled for next spring, sold out in minutes…clearly indicating the need for a full-length trek. Joined by all-star special guests including 3 Doors Down, Daughtry, Switchfoot, and more, this Creed tour will be a “dad rock” extravaganza unlike any other.
Scott Stapp and his bandmates have been on hiatus for over a decade, having released their fourth and latest record, Full Circle, all the way back in 2009. They’ve even been noticeably absent from festival stages. Luckily, that’s all about to change! Next year, you’ll hear all the best Creed songs that made them one of the biggest rock bands of the 90s and early 2000s. We’re talking about “With Arms Wide Open,” which won them a Grammy Award in 2001, along with “One Last Breath,” “My Sacrifice,” and “Higher.”
Creed’s first three albums all went multi-platinum, while they earned a reputation as one of the most essential acts of the late 1990s post-grunge movement. Stapp’s gruff but gorgeous vocals, paired with the band’s power ballads and prime guitar skills, were beloved by millions of fans worldwide. And they still are!
