Green Day 2024 Tour Announcement – The Saviors Tour Schedule
Green Day is bringing more iconic rock and roll shows your way! The punk rock legends will begin “The Saviors Tour” on July 29th in Washington, DC. They’ll make 27 stops before wrapping up on September 28th in San Diego, CA.
“We’ve never been more excited to unleash new music than with Saviors, a record that’s meant to be rocked live, together,” Green Day said in a statement. “So let’s thrash. We’ve got some amazing friends who are coming along for the ride!” Joined by The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid, and The Linda Lindas, this Green Day tour will be a commemoration of punk rock as we know it. It celebrates not one, not two, but three career-changing albums from the group. And needless to say, this is just the beginning of Green Day’s legacy over the past three-and-a-half decades.
We’ll get to their new album in a moment, but diehard Green Day fans will remember the record that started it all…1994’s Dookie. A pivotal part of punk rock history and 1990s rock and roll that propelled Green Day to mainstream success, there’s no denying the impact of this project. Billie Joe Armstrong and his bandmates intend to celebrate thirty years of Dookie with electrifying performances of tracks like “Basket Case,” “Welcome to Paradise,” and “When I Come Around,” and we can hardly wait.
Of course, they’re also celebrating twenty years of their seventh album, American Idiot! The record defined the 2000s with singles like “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” “Jesus of Suburbia, “Wake Me Up When September Ends,” and the titular track. Millennials everywhere remember listening to these songs on their iPods between classes. And hearing them again on the Saviors Tour will be the ultimate throwback! Add some brand-new Green Day songs into the mix, and you have the perfect rock and roll show that spans every era of the group.
Green Day is set to release their fourteenth album, Saviors, in January 2024, the follow-up to 2020’s Father of All Motherf***ers. Fans are already obsessed with the first two singles, “The American Dream Is Killing Me” and “Look Ma, No Brains!” These tracks show off the band’s punk rock prowess in every way, and we can’t wait to hear them on the Green Day tour.
