Counting Crows 2023 Tour Announcement – Banshee Season Tour Schedule
Counting Crows are coming your way on the “Banshee Tour” in the summer and fall of 2023! Are you ready to see the 90s alternative rock darlings? Joined by Dashboard Confessional, they’ll kick off on June 13th in Omaha, NE, and continue through September 25th in Denver, CO.
Have you missed the Counting Crows since their mini-hiatus? Because we sure did! Adam Duritz and his bandmates made a big comeback with the EP, Butter Miracle: Suite One, back in 2021. Fans and critics had a lot of love for the band’s first new music release in seven years, including Rolling Stone! The publication described it as “a melodic, wistful ode to life on tour, with a sound that somehow manages to bridge the gap between the Band and Mott the Hoople.”
It’s certainly an accurate descriptor for the Counting Crows. After all, Duritz and co. have made touring life the norm for themselves as they belt out the best alt-rock classics from the 1990s and beyond! Sure, they have plenty of 2000s hits, too, like the 2004 song “Accidentally in Love” from Shrek 2 that earned them both Academy Award and Grammy nominations. But there’s no denying that the Counting Crows are 90s icons in every way.
Frontman Adam Duritz is equally famous for his trademark dreadlocks and celebrity dating headlines as he is for his Counting Crows bangers! Speaking of which, you’ll hear essentials like “A Long December,” “Hanginaround,” “Big Yellow Taxi,” and more at these Counting Crows concerts, and maybe even some new tunes that they’ve hinted at for a while. How do we know? Because when Butter Miracle: Suite One was released a couple of years back, most believed that it was simply one half of a full-length album.
Come on; the clue is right there in the name! Duritz has remained hush-hush about if or when the second part of the project will be released, but we’re not ruling out a few sneak peeks of new songs at these Counting Crows concerts.
