Collective Soul and Switchfoot 2022 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Collective Soul and Switchfoot are teaming up for a summer 2022 tour, making an impressive 40 stops around the US. The two rock bands will begin performing on July 15th in Gary, IN, and continue through September 24th in San Antonio, TX.
“It’s always a thrill to go on tour, but this year is going to be so special because we get to be with not only our friends but a great band, Switchfoot!,” exclaims Collective Soul singer Ed Roland. “Southern boys meet Southern California boys, which will be a fun time for all!” Switchfoot vocalist Jon Foreman backed up this sentiment, saying that his band has “been fans of Collective Soul and their songs from day one,” and how “psyched” they are to tour together.
Collective Soul is also excited to return to their tradition of non-stop touring, as they’ve hit the road nearly every year since forming almost three decades ago. What’s a band to do when a global pandemic prevents them from performing the best alternative rock and grunge hits? Perform them virtually while working on new music, of course.
The band began writing the follow-up to their tenth record, 2019’s Blood, not too long ago and have stated that it’s already completed. Their eleventh album, Vibrating, was initially meant to be released in February 2022 before being postponed and has still not announced a new date. We know you’re excited to hear the band’s first new music in years, but have no fear… they’ll likely play some new songs alongside Switchfoot on the upcoming tour!
