Carnifex 2022 Tour Announcement – In My Arms 15th Anniversary Tour Schedule
Carnifex is soon heading on the “In My Arms 15th Anniversary tour,” celebrating their 2007 record with 16 dates. The deathcore band will kick off these Carnifex concerts on September 23rd in Fresno, CA, and continue through October 28th in Tucson, AZ.
Fresh off the “Chaos & Carnage tour” with Suicide Silence, the group is ready to get back on the road for a new set of Carnifex concerts. This time, paying tribute to their debut album, Dead in My Arms. It’s the record that established them as deathcore heroes and sent them across the world to perform tracks like “Lie to My Face,” “Dark Heart Ceremony,” and “My Heart in Atrophy.” That’s why they’re giving it the mosh-friendly and metal-loving 15th birthday it deserves.
Many hard rock songs these days are designed to put a positive spin on our crumbling society, particularly post-COVID. However, this definitely isn’t the case with Carnifex. Their songs are highly personal and deal with heartbreak, betrayal, hatred, and depression, ironically making their fans happier than ever. Each Carnifex album is a deathcore masterpiece to the extreme, starting with 2007’s Dead in My Arms and continuing through their eighth record, 2021’s Graveside Confessions. They have no apologies for their realistic ones lyrical content.
“I always have written from a personal perspective. My personal life for the last few years really fell apart,” Carnifex lead singer Scott Lewis said in 2014. ”Some of that was due to the nature of being in a full-time touring band and the amount of strain it puts on your life back home. Part of that was due to keeping some damaging people in my life a lot longer than I should have.” They took a bit of a break from touring due to the pandemic but couldn’t resist the road much longer. Carnifex got back onstage with Suicide Silence the first chance they got in spring 2022 and will surely put on quite the deathcore show on the “In My Arms 15th Anniversary tour.”
