Brooks & Dunn 2022 Tour Announcement – Reboot Tour Schedule
Country duo Brooks & Dunn are continuing the Reboot tour in 2022, visiting 19 cities across the US. Joined by a stacked lineup including Gabby Barrett, Jordan Davis, Riley Duckman, Jon Pardi, and more, the group will kick off their trek on May 5th in Evansville, IN, and continue through June 25th in Detroit, MI.
“Last year, we fired up the buses and ‘let it roll’ again,” Kix Brooks said in a statement about their Las Vegas residency with Reba McIntyre and sprinkled shows throughout 2021. “Thanks for reminding us how you guys can shake every stage we walk on to…damn; it feels good to be back with ya! Bring it! We’ll meet you there!”
“There” includes a lot of cities that Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn haven’t visited in nearly three decades, including Jackson, MS. How did they go from not touring for ten years before 2021’s Reboot Tour (with Travis Tritt and Elvie Shane) to not being able to say no to the road? The pandemic indeed pushed things along, but they’ve made it clear that the stage is their rightful home.
“It is our full intent to step onto the stage each night and throw down like the wildest honky tonk you’ve never been to…yet,” Dunn added. “Don’t be concerned about the mess left afterwards, y’all just enjoy yourselves and we’ll worry about that later.” What kind of mess could home from the best Brooks & Dunn songs, including “Neon Moon, “Cowgirls Don’t Cry,” and “Brand New Man?” We’re just expecting lots of heel-kicking and neotraditional country hits that won’t quit.
They’re continuing to celebrate their eleventh studio album, Reboot, which was launched in 2019 and served as their first record in twelve years. There’s been no word yet about a twelfth album, but we’re along for the Reboot ride as long as Brooks & Dunn will have us. The famed duo is teaming up with some of the biggest country acts in the world on this Brooks & Dunn tour, and every show is going to be epic. That being said, we can’t wait to see them in their hometown (and country music capital!) of Nashville, TN.
The Country Music Hall of Famers has mixed opinions on Nashville, where they first banded together as musicians back in 1990. “Nashville used to scare us to death because everyone’s got their opinion on what the act is about and all that stuff,” says Brooks. “We’re not really running scared like we used to. Not that we were afraid of it, but you’re just nervous about playing here because of the reviews the next day.”
“I think right now we’re just having so much fun on stage. And honestly, last year was a good run for us,” he continued. “I mean, I came off of that, and I think Ronnie probably did, too, going,’ Well, that was good.” “Good” is an understatement for the dynamic live show these two put on, and you’ll see it firsthand on the 2022 Brooks & Dunn tour.
