Blues Traveler 2022 Tour Announcement – 35th Anniversary Tour Schedule
Blues Traveler has expanded its 35th-anniversary tour for fall 2022, taking the jam band to over a dozen cities. They’ll kick off these Blues Travelers concerts on September 27th in New Haven, CT, and continue through October 24th in Charleston, SC.
Blues Traveler has been on a roll since returning to the road last summer. They’ve played all across the country, including their annual Fourth of July concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO, that they’ve held for nearly three decades! You need to be a big deal to have a standing holiday reservation at one of the country’s most beautiful venues, and Blues Traveler never disappoints. Now they’re celebrating their time as a band with some of their best shows yet, and you can expect an updated setlist each night with 35 years worth of hits.
We’re talking about all your favorite blues-rock and folk tracks from the 1980s and beyond, including “Run-Around,” “Hook,” “But Anyway,” and more from their fourteen albums. This includes their most recent record, 2021’s Travelers Blues, described as a “collection of re-imagined and recharged classics.” Blues Traveler are legends in their own right, but there’s something beautiful about hearing them sing old-timey tracks like “Ball & Chain” by Janis Joplin and “Funky Bitch” by Son Seals… and there’s plenty more where that came from.
“Blues Traveler is not just a band; it’s a lifestyle. Blues Traveler is our life’s work. It’s enabled us to do so many other things,” says guitarist Chan Kinchla. “This little tribe we built in New York during the late eighties has survived all the way through—plus or minus some dearly departed brothers and sisters,” Kinchla continued, “It’s empowered us to be creative, make people happy, and travel around spreading some good vibes.” He concluded, “The longer we do it, the more we like it.”
