Billy Idol 2021 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Billy Idol is playing ten new shows this fall – ranging from Sea. Hear. Now Festival in Asbury Park, NJ, to his brief Las Vegas residency at The Cosmopolitan. You can next see the British rocker on September 18th in West Springfield, MA, and his 2021 concerts will wrap up on October 23rd in Las Vegas, NV!
Idol is picking up right where he left off, as he was amid a Las Vegas residency at Palms Casino Resort just days before the world shut down and live music came to a halt. But before his return to Sin City, he had to play a few summer gigs! This includes joining Miley Cyrus at Lollapalooza for a duet of their song, “Night Crawling,” and a couple of casino shows.

Even without a tour schedule, Idol stayed busy throughout 2020! The platinum blonde punk rocker made headlines when he collaborated with Cyrus on her latest record, Plastic Hearts, and performed their hit single at the Super Bowl LV pregame alongside Cyrus and Joan Jett.

While he’s established himself as a punk and glam rock legend over his fifty-year career, both as a solo artist and frontman of 70’s British rock band Generation X, the 65-year-old Idol has an appreciation for all types of music. This is why he’s thrilled to collaborate with pop stars like Cyrus and why he improvised a rap verse in his hit song “Eyes Without A Face” back in 1984 – long before rappers became rockers (ahem, Machine Gun Kelly) and vice versa (Kid Rock.)

What is the biggest Billy Idol news of 2021? His second EP, The Roadside, was recorded throughout the pandemic and released in September 2021. This recording has been a long time in the making, as Idol has not released a studio album since 2014 and covers all the good and bad details of Idol’s incredible life.
“Bitter Taste” is a personal track that discusses Idol’s traumatizing and near-fatal motorcycle accident thirty years ago. At the same time “Rita Hayworth” discusses the “Me Too” movement and women’s empowerment – the latter of which Idol wrote after the birth of his granddaughter. And then there are the cheeky bangers that you expect with Billy Idol songs, like “U Don’t Have to Kiss Me Like That” and “Baby Put Your Clothes Back On.”
After half a century in the music industry, the “Rebel Yell” singer is still as punk rock as ever… and you’ll see what we mean at a Billy Idol concert! See the British punk rock legend perform old and new hits on his fall tour… with the schedule below and the tickets available now!
