Barenaked Ladies 2022 Tour Announcement – Hometown Holidays Tour Schedule
Barenaked Ladies are celebrating this season with the “Hometown Holidays tour,” taking the Grammy-winning rock band across Canada in late 2022. They’ll kick off on November 25th in Rama, ON, and make stops in 12 cities before concluding on December 22nd in Toronto, ON.
This is hardly the first seasonal Barenaked Ladies tour, even in 2022. They only wrapped up the “Last Summer on Earth” trek in September before announcing the upcoming holiday trek, and we’re here for all of it. You got to enjoy their greatest hits like “Pinch Me,” “If I Had $1000000,” “The Old Apartment,” and of course, the Big Bang Theory theme song, under the summer sun. Now it’s time to hear them perform their best holiday hits in the cold weather, and we can’t wait to hear what they have planned for the crowds.
It’s hard to believe that the Canadian band’s Christmas album, dubbed Barenaked for the Holidays, was released nearly two decades ago. The 2004 record contains your favorite seasonal songs like “Jingle Bells,” “Hanukkah Blessings,” “O Holy Night,” and more, remixed with the band’s signature alt-rock sound. Trans-Siberian Orchestra doesn’t have all the claims on a rock version of “Carol of the Bells,” okay?
These holiday tracks will take center stage on the upcoming Barenaked Ladies tour, but they’ll likely sprinkle in a few evergreen classics as well. The group is still supporting their thirteenth and latest album, 2021’s Detour de Force, which includes new singles like “Flip,” “New Disaster,” and “Good Life.” These songs show what Barenaked Ladies are all about, an alt-rock group with a sense of humor and appreciation for everything from folk and indie to pop and geek rock. Ed Robertson and his bandmates are also paying tribute to their debut album, Gordon, which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2022!
