Get your sign of the horns ready! Aftershock Festival is returning to California’s capitol this fall, occurring at Discovery Park in Sacramento from October 10-13. Headliners include Slayer, Slipknot, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Pantera, Judas Priest, and Disturbed.

Yes, you read that correctly, Slayer is reuniting after a five-year hiatus! They’ll also appear at a few other rock festivals in 2024, including Riot Fest and Louder Than Life. However, we still can’t take our eye off the hell-raising Aftershock lineup that spans various generations and sub-genres of rock. In addition to the main headliners, attendees will also be treated to 50+ more top-tier artists from the heavy metal hall of fame.
These include 2000s favorites like Breaking Benjamin, Evanescence, and Falling in Reverse, plus 80s classics like Ministry and Anthrax. Throw in some Irish rock bangers from Dropkick Murphys, female-fronted screams from Halestorm, and nu-metal from Staind, and you’ll instantly be in the mood to mosh. Aftershock Festival is basically a playground for rock and metal fans of all ages, riling up the genre’s best for a day of scream-alongs and sick memories.
