Aaron Lewis is back in action for 2024! The singer is taking a break from his main gig as frontman of Staind for another acoustic tour. He’ll begin on January 11th in Napa, CA, stopping in Reno, NV, Tampa, FL, Huntsville, AL, and more. The final show will occur on April 6th in Ledyard, CT.
It’s no secret that Aaron Lewis is a man of many genres. He’s not only made metalheads happy for nearly three decades with Staind, but also earned a place in the world of Country music! Last year saw the release of his fourth solo record, Frayed at Both Ends. It became the US’s No.1 selling country album upon release, and earned Lewis his first No.1 country song with “Am I The Only One!” Basically, he’s wasted no time dabbling in both country and rock over the past couple of years. This may give longtime fans a few flashbacks…all the way back to 2019. That year is when he launched the “The State I’m In: Acoustic Songs & Stories Tour,” where they got to see a softer side to one of metal’s most famous frontmen. He performed his greatest songs in a soothing and superb fashion, including “Mama,” “Northern Redneck,” “Lessons Learned,” and “Reconsider.” Meanwhile, now that he has a semi-new release in his midst, it’s safe to assume that we’ll get a brand-new setlist. From country-fied takes on Staind songs to modern Nashville favorites like “Goodbye Town,” and “Life Behind Bars.”
The country and rock genres have been colliding all through the 2020s, from the likes of Kane Brown and Zac Brown Band to Hardy. But of course, we can’t forget that Aaron Lewis was one of the first! He’s been mixing these sounds since his 2012 debut solo record, The Road. And he’s only sharpened the strings of his guitar as he’s worked his way up the charts with his country music numbers.
