Deftones 2022 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Deftones have announced rescheduled dates for their North American tour with Gojira, now set to begin in 2022. This trek kicks off on April 14th in Portland, OR, and continues for over two months before ending on May 28th in Minneapolis, MN.
This is the second postponement for this Deftones tour, which was initially meant to occur in 2020 and later pushed back from the tentative summer 2021 start date. The band stated on their Instagram page saying that the rescheduling was “not an easy decision” and a way to “help ensure we can make every date with confidence.”
Deftones joins bands like KISS and My Chemical Romance in postponing their tours due to safety concerns and maintains this is the best decision for their crew and fans. Luckily, April 2022 isn’t too far off… and fans of the alt-metal group are ecstatic to attend one of the first full-length Deftones tours since 2017.

There will be plenty to celebrate on this Deftones tour. They’re excited to perform hits from their ninth studio album, 2020’s Ohms, for the very first time – including “Genesis” and “Ceremony.” And then there’s the late 20th-anniversary celebration of the third Deftones album, White Pony, which was released in 2000 and helped the alternative metal band reach mainstream success.
Named as one of the greatest metal albums of all time by Rolling Stone, the White Pony release helped define Deftones’ career with an “unprecedented blend of shoegaze, trip-hop, and metal.” The group released the Black Stallion LP in 2020, complete with remixed versions of their hit songs in honor of the record’s two-decade anniversary.
