Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real on Tour – 2021 US Tour Schedule

Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real are launching an extensive tour this fall, and it’s a must-see for any country-rock fan. Shows begin on September 4th in Solana Beach, CA, and continue for almost three months until the final show in Portland, OR, on November 22nd. 

This tour will support Nelson’s seventh studio album, A Few Stars Apart, released in June 2021. It was made during the pandemic and drew inspiration from Lukas Nelson spending much-needed time with his famous family throughout quarantine. You may have heard of his father, the world-famous country artist Willie Nelson!

“I’m from what one might say is the ultimate road family—I’ve been on the road my entire life,” Nelson told Music Row in June. “I’ve never been anywhere longer than three months, and suddenly here we are, the four of us together. And thank god we were together.”

“I can’t remember the last time we had that much time together as a family. We had a lot of really important bonding that happened during that time. And I have to say, as terrible as the pandemic has been in so many ways, for my inner peace, I was able to take a lot of good from this time. I was able to pause and reflect.”

The result? A Few Stars Apart, which Rolling Stone called Nelson’s “most compact, streamlined, and focused album yet.” It’s a beautiful record resulting from family values, grief, endurance, and a good deal of musical talent that may or may not be genetic.

Lukas Nelson has been surrounded by legendary musicians his entire life, from his famous father to his stint in Neil Young’s backing band since 2015. But he’s also an incredibly talented artist in his own right, and he’s excited to share his most heartfelt songs yet on tour with Promise of the Real this fall.
