Where to See Tim McGraw in 2021 and 2022
Tim McGraw is performing through late 2021 and early 2022! You can next see the country hitmaker on November 12th in Fort Lauderdale, FL, with shows happening intermittently until June 24th, 2022, in North Platte, NE.
McGraw has played a handful of shows since live music returned in summer 2021, but fans are incredibly excited for his appearance at Tortuga Music Festival on November 12th-14th. He’s sharing the stage with Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Pitbull, Barenaked Ladies, and more! McGraw has three decades worth of country hits to carry him through the weekend, and you’ll be kicking up your heels with both classic hits and new tracks.
The sixteenth Tim McGraw album, Here on Earth, was released in August 2020 – producing singles like “I Called Mama,” “Undivided,” and “7500 OBO.” While these tracks were written before the pandemic, the 54-year-old country icon decided to adjust these songs to match the social climate. While it was always an album about personal relationships and shared human emotions, the effects of COVID-19 elevated the themes of Here on Earth.
“Before Covid, it would be a song about losing someone and instantly calling the person that grounds you the most and knows you the best and can set you at ease,” McGraw said about “I Called Mama.” “After Covid hit, that song had such a broader scale to it, because it was really about everything that was going on in the world and who are the people — not just your mom — that ground you and know you.”
Who are the people that ground McGraw? His wife of 25 years – fellow country superstar Faith Hill – comes to mind. The two have collaborated for years and even released their joint record, The Rest of Our Life, in 2017. While Hill is not physically present on the sixteenth Tim McGraw album, she’ll always be his muse… and he makes that clear with every passing year.
Tim McGraw has accomplished incredible things in his career. He’s won nearly every music award imaginable (think Grammy, AMA, Billboard, and CMA), sold 80 million records, and established himself as the ultimate country music hitmaker. While the pandemic put a hold on his Here and Earth tour in 2020, he’s dipping his toes back into performing with a series of shows throughout the following months… and he hopes to see you there!
