Where to See SAINt JHN in 2021
SAINt JHN is finishing up his “In Case We Both Die Young” tour this fall, and there’s still time to see the Guyanese rapper. He’ll next make an appearance on November 26th in San Francisco, CA, with shows continuing through December 9th in Miami Beach, FL.
This SAINt JHN tour is in support of the rapper’s third album, While the World Was Burning, released in November 2020. He’s been having a blast performing these new beats for fans, including “Roses,” “Gorgeous,” and “Pray 4 Me” featuring Kanye West. In fact, the album is packed with star-studded guest appearances that demonstrate SAINt JHN’s prowess as a performer.
SAINt JHN, born as Carlos St. John Phillips, has been a force in the music industry for over a decade. He’s written songs for artists like Ushie and Jidenna, and opened for hip-hop superstars like Post Malone before reaching mainstream success in the late 2010s. His song “Roses” has topped the charts and been remixed by Future and J Balvin, while he’s released three hit albums in three years.
It’s not just songwriting and verse-spitting talent that’s brought attention to SAINt JHN, it’s also his incredible live performances and unorthodox policies. For instance, he doesn’t allow professional photographers into any SAINt JHN concerts and tells his team to hand out iPhones to the audience instead.
“The thousands of people that are showing up when I say I’m going to be in a city and I’m going to perform the songs that they love, I want it to be from their lens and my lens. Not anybody else who’s dictating it,” the rapper told Hot New Hip Hop about this tour policy. “I want you to see it the way you live. So I wanted to take it out of the hands of the people that control the things that we see and put it in the hands of the people that control the things that we use.”
This now-viral policy at SAINt JHN concerts has given a new meaning to the term “Instagram vs. reality,” and you can see dozens of fan-taken photos and videos all over social media. The rapper radiates confidence and has an unmatched appreciation for his fans, and he can’t wait to see you on the “In Case We Both Die Young” tour. Is he coming to your city?
