“Uncle Charlie” is coming to town! Charlie Wilson has three shows lined up for the rest of 2023, and the R&B-soul hero is bringing his all to every single one. He’ll begin on September 9th in College Park, GA, stopping in Petersburg, VA, on October 13th before playing on the 15th in Akron, OH.
You know that fun uncle who you don’t see often, but always brings the party when he comes to visit? In the music world, that’s Charlie Wilson. He earned his nickname from his good friend and hip-hop hero Snoop Dogg, and it just stuck! So much so, that he named his 2009 fourth album Uncle Charlie. It ended up being one of his best-selling yet with a No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200. Was it a coincidence? We think not.
