Where to See Lizzo in Concert 2021
Lizzo is making her grand return to the stage, with three appearances at musical festivals and one solo show in Minnesota. Have you been waiting to hear “Truth Hurts” live since you first listened to the hit Lizzo song on the radio? Now is your chance!
Lizzo will become the first woman to headline Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, TN on September 4th, performing alongside big names like Foo Fighters, Tyler the Creator, and Tame Impala. She’ll also be singing at Dover’s Firefly Music Festival alongside Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Thee Stallion on September 26th, plus playing Outside Lands on October 30th with Vampire Weekend and Zhu.
Fans are excited to hear her soulful hits on the festival stages. Still, there’s another Lizzo concert that people can’t stop talking about: her “hometown” show at Treasure Island Amphitheater in Welch, MN, on September 11th! While Lizzo grew up in Houston, TX, her music career began when she moved to Minneapolis in 2011.
She told Rolling Stone that the move was “one of the best decisions” she’d ever made, and her list of top-charting Lizzo songs proves it. While she’s since moved to Los Angeles due to work, her heart will always be in Minnesota, and fans will get an amplified amount of soul at one of the first Lizzo concerts in over a year.
Lizzo’s Instagram bio says “Bop Star™️,” and she’s not kidding. The singer reached mainstream success practically overnight in 2019, when “Truth Hurts” became a viral sleeper hit nearly two years after release. Add in the singles “Juice” and Tempo” from her third album, Cuz I Love You, and you’ll see why Lizzo’s soulful R&B and pop hits have made her a household name.
While Lizzo hasn’t performed in a while due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she indeed went out with a bang. One of her final performances was at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards in January 2020, where she performed a mashup of “Cuz I Love You/Truth Hurts” and received the most nominations of any artist that night. She’s a Bop Star™️ through and through, and you don’t want to miss the chance to see her perform in 2021.
