The “Piano Man” is performing nationwide in 2024! Billy Joel is not only wrapping up his residency at Madison Square Garden, but has also announced a handful of stadium shows. With help from fellow music icons Sting and Stevie Nicks, of course.
After ten years and a whopping 150 concerts, Joel announced last year that he was ending his long-standing tenure at New York City’s most famous venue. It was certainly a difficult decision, as his heart belongs to his hometown and his six-decade musical repertoire certainly proves it. However, he also knew it was time to move on to not necessarily better, but definitely bigger, things. In the form of a series of stadium concerts with his longtime friends and rock legends.
The Billy Joel concerts with Sting will occur in Tampa, FL, San Diego, CA, and St. Louis, MO. Meanwhile, he’ll bring Nicks with him to Chicago, IL and Arlington, TX! With so much star power on one stage, it’s no wonder that they need a massive stadium to support it. Joel is known to incorporate live guest vocals from all his famous friends, from Kevin Bacon to Olivia Rodrigo and Joe Jonas. And we have no doubt that there will be some soon-to-be-iconic duets happening in 2024.
