When We Were Young Festival is back for its third year! And it’s going to be a doozy of full-length emo albums for nonstop cheering and unwavering nostalgia. Taking place on October 19th in Las Vegas, NV, the event will be headlined by My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy.

Also on the lineup is A Day To Remember, Dashboard Confessional, Jimmy Eat World, Pierce The Veil, The Used, Underoath, and dozens more! And this won’t just be your typical music festival, but a day of remembrance for “elder emo” millennials everywhere. Let’s review, shall we? When We Were Young Festival first announced the full roster of bands with a graphic that depicts the back of a physical CD. And this was the first clue that nostalgia was on the menu.

But when it was confirmed that each group would be playing their most famous album in its entirety, that’s when people began to collectively lose their minds. My Chemical Romance playing 2006’s The Black Parade from front to back, including rarely-played songs like “Disenchanted” and “This Is How I Disappear?” Believe it. Meanwhile, The All-American Rejects will take a trip back in time to perform their self-titled debut, and Sleeping With Sirens will play every track on Let’s Cheers to This.
Additionally, plenty of your favorite 2000s emo bands, like Cobra Starship, Millionaires, and Anberlin, will reunite after being on hiatus for years. Add in the inevitable onstage surprises, including A-list guest appearances and never-before-heard live debuts, and you’ll enter a state of emo bliss. We wouldn’t put it past Vic Fuentes to bring Kellin Quinn onstage for a live performance of “King For A Day.,” Especially after the song reached No. 1 on the rock charts in 2023, a full decade post-release, after going viral on TikTok.
And don’t even get us started on Fall Out Boy’s long list of guest collaborators, including John Mayer, Lupe Fiasco, and The Roots, all of whom are fair game for a When We Were Young Festival guest spot.
