Westlife 2024 Tour Announcement – The Hits Tour Schedule
Westlife is rolling into America with their greatest hits…for the very first time! The Irish pop quartet has announced “The Hits Tour” as a St. Patrick’s Day special, visiting four US cities. They’ll begin on March 12th with two nights in Toronto, ON, stopping in Boston, MA, and New York, NY, before wrapping up on the 18th in Chicago, IL.
“FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, we’re performing live in North America!,” they wrote on the Westlife Instagram page. “We’re bringing Westlife: The Hits Tour – A St. Patrick’s Day Special to Toronto, Boston, New York, and Chicago in March 2024. We’re also over the moon to announce that we’ll be making our American TV debut on Monday, August 21 on @goodmorningamerica. North America, we can’t wait to see you! It’s gonna be EPIC.” They also included both shamrock and American flag emojis to commemorate the blending of these two countries, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
You may be asking yourself… how exactly has there never been a North American Westlife tour? The group has been around for 25 years, after all. And their cult following on the other side of the pond includes the most consecutive No. 1’s in the UK and and over 55 million records sold. But somehow the foursome — Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan, and Nicky Byrne — never made it into their schedules. And needless to say, American fans have noticed.
The US has begged for years to hear hits like “My Love,” “I Wanna Grow Old With You,” “Soledad,” and “Flying Without Wings” live for the first time. And the Irish pop stars have finally risen to the occasion! Westlife has been in their prime since reuniting in 2018 after a six year hiatus, releasing two new albums, 2019’s Spectrum and 2021’s Wild Dreams, and surpassing 3 billion global streams. And when you add a much-awaited US trek into the mix, it’s easy to see why they’re the UK and Ireland’s top-selling album group of the 21st century.
