Wage War 2023 Tour Announcement – The Manic Tour Schedule
Wage War is heading on “The Manic tour” in spring 2023! Joined by Nothing Nowhere and Spite, the metalcore troops will kick off on April 11th in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and continue through May 20th in Atlanta, GA.
The group continues to support their fourth and latest album, Manic, released in October 2021. What began as a project to kill time during quarantine became one of Wage War’s most acclaimed records to date — with fans, critics, and fellow musicians singing their praises. In fact, the album was partly produced by Jeremy McKinnon of metalcore giants A Day to Remember, who hails from the same Florida city as Wage War! Featuring singles like “High Horse,” “Circle the Drain,” “Teeth,” and “Godspeed,” it’s a metal-meets-punk mashup that will make anybody want to hardcore dance… which is why you need tickets to the Wage War tour.
“I think all five of us took the time we had in the middle of a pandemic, and we worked really hard on songs together,” guitarist Cody Quistad said about Manic, “and sonically, I feel like we really pushed the boundaries, and did some things that made us stand out.” “There are songs for the new and old fans, but then there’s some brand new stuff that I feel like I’ve never heard bands do before.” He’s definitely not kidding. Just listen to “Relapse,” an out-of-the-gate rager that exemplifies Wage War’s heavy-yet-heartfelt style!
While their previous record, 2019’s Pressure, was a bit more melodic than heavy metal, Wage War clearly listened to fans’ pleas for more breakdowns and brutal verses. Manic lives up to its name, allowing you to rage on in the most remarkable way. It’s okay to be a bit angry about the turmoil of the past few years, just like Wage War, and they’re finally getting the chance to celebrate Manic in all its glory. Will you be there?
