Vince Staples is embarking on his “Black in America tour” this fall, beginning on October 14th in Atlanta, GA. Joined by Baby Rose, the hip-hop heavyweight will make thirteen stops before finishing up on November 6th in Los Angeles, CA.
Supporting his latest album, Dark Times, this Vince Staples tour will do what he does best…spit out rhymes about the important issues plaguing our country. As longtime fans know, the 30-year-old is known for his sharp lyrics and insightful commentary on social and political issues. And needless to say, new tracks like “Shame on the Devil” and “Government Cheese” are no exception.
This may be Staples’ final album with Def Jam Recordings after 10+ years of collaboration, but it’s clearly a new chapter for the SoCal rapper. Dark Times features a mix of reflective and triumphant tracks, with notable contributions from artists like Santigold, Baby Rose, and Kilo Kish. He can’t wait to perform these new songs, along with old favorites like “Big Fish,” “Blue Suede,” and “Norf Norf,” for a variety of fans from every era of Vince Staples.
In addition to his music career, Vince Staples is also continuing his foray into television. His Netflix series, The Vince Staples Show, has been renewed for a second season. The show, loosely based on his life, shows that he’s more than just a top-charting rapper, but also a mega-talented writer, producer, and actor.
