Twiztid 2022 Tour Announcement – Certified Psychos Tour Schedule
Twiztid is heading on the “Certified Psychos tour” very soon, and it’s the ideal time to see the horrorcore duo. Joined by Axe Murder Boyz and Cody Mansion, they’ll kick off on September 2nd in Hartford, CT, and make stops in Pittsburgh, PA, Grand Junction, CO, El Paso, TX, and more before wrapping up on October 30th in Detroit, MI.
A Twiztid concert just in time for the spooky season? Yes, please. The duo, composed of Jamie Madrox and Monoxide Child, have elevated the rap-rock genre since 1997. Their hip-hop sound is set apart by horror-inspired lyrics and haunting face makeup between sick beats, bringing fans of both rap and metal together for the past quarter-century. With 15 albums, 14 EPs, and endless catchy singles, they’ve proved themselves to be horrorcore pioneers. And there’s no better way to spend an eerie October night than at a Twiztid concert.
They’re continuing to support their latest album, 2021’s Unlikely Prescription, which includes singles like “Rose Petal,” “Perfect Problem,” “Corkscrew,” and “Envy.” The rock-oriented album features guest appearances from Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills, Dani Filth of Cradle of Filth, and more, further proving their dedication to heavy metal as much as hip-hop. It’s definitely a different direction than the record before it, 2020’s Revelashen, which they addressed in an interview last year with Icon vs. Icon.
“We always try to stay a record ahead of what everybody is listening to. At times it’s like getting things out of your system,” Madrox says. “We knew we had a record, at least the skeletal idea of it. We just kept adding to it, and before you know it, we were like, ‘this is amazing!’ It’s so unlike Unlikely Prescription,” he continued, talking about Revelashen. “That was what was cool too because it’s like making things erratic, kind of like when you exercise,” he concluded, “You mix it up; it’s muscle confusion. It’s fun to do s**t erratically so that you keep your mind sharp in what you do, it challenges us, and there’s something for everybody.”
In other words, Twizkid predicated the 2022 rock revival before the rest of us (including Machine Gun Kelly did), and we’re here for it. They blend genres seamlessly while spooking the audience in the best way, often described as “if Freddy Krueger or Michael Myers could rap.” Get your tickets to see the horrorcore duo today!
