It’s been a busy year for Trey Anastasio, who has announced his own set of concerts with Trey Anastasio Band — who fans call TAB — this fall. The storied musician will take off on September 17th in Portland, ME, and make 13 stops before wrapping up on October 3rd in New York City. In many ways, this TAB tour can be seen as an extended set break in the middle of the 2021 Phish tour, before their fall dates along the west coast kick into gear in the middle of October.

Halfway through 2021, Trey Anastasio has already accomplished quite a bit. He is halfway through a much-anticipated tour with his other band, Phish, and played the first full-capacity show in nearly two years at New York City’s Beacon Theatre to a pumped crowd, following a year of Dinner and a Movie livestreams to his loyal fans. He’s a showman in every sense of the word, and his 2021 tours will surely become your favorite concerts of the year.
What will the setlist be? It’s hard to know where to begin. Anastasio has released eleven studio albums, in addition to his work with Phish, Oysterhead, and other side projects. But knowing Trey, he will likely take continue in true Phish fashion and switch things up every night.
There are plenty of hit tracks from Anastasio’s forty-year career that fans could hope to hear on tour – including “Clint Eastwood,” “Cayman Review,” “Shine,” and “If I Could.” Those are the tried and trued tracks, and we can most definitely expect some of his newer material, namely 2020’s Lonely Trip, which was denied a proper tour due to the pandemic.
Anastasio’s latest album was one of the most personal, recorded during quarantine and serving as a bit of a love letter to the music community. It was as difficult for Anastasio to be away from the stage as it has been for the rest of us, and he’s excited to share his talents from some of the country’s biggest venues.
