Trace Adkins 2021-2022 Tour Announcement – The Way I Wanna Go Tour Schedule
Trace Adkins is the latest country superstar to announce rescheduled performance dates, heading out on the “The Way I Wanna Go” tour at the end of the year. His first stop takes place on December 1st in Tampa, FL, while concerts continue throughout spring 2022, ending on April 29th in Effingham, IL.
This Trace Adkins tour was initially meant to happen in 2020 before the pandemic put concerts on hold for over a year. However, there is a silver lining. In 2021, the country hat-clad singer has put on some of his best shows in the past three decades, putting on display all the energy and honky-tonk hits that we all missed in his time off the stage.
Adkins’s 2021 performances began with an opening slot on his good friend Blake Shelton’s Friends and Heroes tour, alongside fellow country hitmakers like Martina McBride and Lauren Alaina. He played both old and new tunes, including those from his seventeenth record (and tour namesake) The Way I Wanna Go.
Released in August 2021, this Trace Adkins album represents the singer’s 25th anniversary in Nashville. It features twenty-five songs, including the single “Where the Country Girls At,” featuring Luke Bryan and Pitbull, along with collaborations from Keb’ Mo,’ Shelton, Melissa Etheridge, and Snoop Dogg.
With song titles like “Memory to Memphis,” “Cadillac’n,” and Cowboy Up, it’s safe to say that you’ll get a fair amount of honky-tonk hits and heartfelt vocals on the upcoming Trace Adkins tour. It’s a celebration of his journey as an artist, which is all the more remarkable after making it through a massive obstacle like the pandemic and a must-see for any country fan.
