The Sisters of Mercy 2023 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule

Get ready, rock fans! The Sisters of Mercy have announced their first US tour in over 15 years, which is bound to be a brooding and beautiful affair for fans everywhere.  The English group will kick off on May 10th in Silver Spring, MD, continuing through June 9th in Denver, CO.

Read more about the 2023 Sick New World festival

Ever since it was revealed that The Sisters of Mercy would be playing the much-anticipated Sick New World festival in Las Vegas, NV, on May 13th, fans have speculated about a full-length tour. Sure, they haven’t played on American soil in well over a decade, but has the post-pandemic live music boom put them back into the performing mood? As it turns out, the answer is yes, and we’re simply obsessed. The Sisters of Mercy have been a force to be reckoned with in the underground rock scene since the 1980s, with an amalgamation of goth rock, punk-psychedelia, and new wave that’s inspired all generations. Now they’re back for one of the best comeback tours of 2023, and it’s a must-see for any rock music fan.

The Sisters of Mercy has also released a handful of new songs, which is a big deal for a group that hasn’t come out with a new album in decades. Seriously, it’s been 32 years since their third and latest record, Vision Thing. But it’s always been about quality for Andrew Eldritch and his bandmates, and the new singles prove just that. “Don’t Drive on Ice,” “On the Beach,” “Genevieve,” and “Eyes of Caligula” all have the electrifying rock and roll energy you know and love from The Sisters of Mercy, with a modern twist that only comes from a decades-long hiatus.

Eldtrich recently told Brooklyn Vegan that there are about 20 more new songs that they’ve written but not performed or recorded just yet. Frankly, it’s tough to say if The Sisters of Mercy will ever come out with another album. They’ve always done exactly what they thought was right for their career, whether we’re talking about their 15-year break from performing in the US or the strike they took against their record label in the early 1990s. We’d be eternally grateful for another record, but for now, we’re just going to enjoy the ride on the first The Sisters of Mercy tour in ages! Will you be there? Get your tickets today.
