The Maine 2023 Tour Announcement – The Sweet 16 Tour Schedule
Start the party, pop-punk style! The Maine have announced “The Sweet 16 Tour” for the fall of 2023, celebrating a decade-and-a-half of their band. The group will kick off on November 11th in San Diego, CA, continuing through December 16th in San Antonio, TX.
“You only turn 16 once! We are throwing a party!,” The Maine wrote on Instagram. “Tickets are on sale now for The Sweet 16 Tour celebrating 16 years of our band and every era. So excited to have @flor @weathersband & @daisygrenade along for the ride.” From their 2008 debut, Can’t Stop Won’t Stop, to their brand-new ninth and self-titled record, it doesn’t matter what your favorite album is. The Main are celebrating every part of their career at this pop-punk soiree, and all you need to do is bring the singalong energy and nostalgic scene clothes!
Longtime fans of the band will remember old favorites, like “Into Your Arms” and “Everything I Ask For,” that practically lived on our MySpace pages. The Maine owned the crowds at everything from Warped Tour (RIP) to medium-sized clubs across the country, and fans couldn’t get enough! But while we remember their 2000s heyday, they did just fine in later years, too. The past decade brought us delightful singles like “Don’t Come Down,” “Right Girl,” “Black Butterflies and Deja Vu,” and so much more.
Then there’s the past few years, in which The Maine integrated themselves right into the emo revival while also reminding us that they never went anywhere. We’ve had their last two albums, 2021’s XOXO: From Love and Anxiety In Real Time and 2023’s The Maine, on repeat for ages now, just waiting for a new tour announcement. Luckily, the time has finally come for John O’Callaghan and his bandmates to hit the road again. You bring the cell phone lights and bittersweet nostalgia, and they’ll come up with everything else you need to have a great time!
