The Doobie Brothers are taking you on a whirlwind journey with “The 2024 Tour!” Simply named, but packed with powerhouse rock anthems, the acclaimed soft rock band will begin on June 15th in Auburn, WA. They’ll visit 38 cities, including many they haven’t visited in years, continuing through August 30th in Salt Lake City, UT.
With support from special guests Steve Winwood and The Robert Cray Band, this Doobie Brothers tour will be a timeless selection of blues-rock bops. Featuring the “core four” — Tom Johnston, Michael McDonald, Pat Simmons, and John McFee — you’ll be in good hands as they work through their five-decade catalog! We’re talking about classics like “Listen To The Music,” “China Grove,” “Black Water,” “What A Fool Believes” and much more.
Of course, diehard fans know that they can expect a few deep cuts, too. You see, the band went all out the past few years for the 50th anniversary Doobie Brothers tour. They pulled out reimagined classics, from-the-vault favorites, and surprise guests for a surreal show each night. And while they’ve officially exited their half-century-celebration era, there’s never a dull moment at a Doobie Brothers concert. We’re just waiting to see what’s in store for 2024.
Along with older favorites from their storied career, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers will also induct some new tunes into the setlist. This includes tracks like “Easy” and “Shine Your Light” from their fifteenth album, 2021’s Liberté, which also happened to be their first in seven years. They also just released the song “Lahaina,” featuring Mick Fleetwood, Jake Shimabukuro, and Henry Kapono, supporting those affected by the devastating fires in Maui last year.
A portion of the song proceeds will go to the fundraising efforts on behalf of the People’s Fund of Maui, according to the Doobie Brothers.
