The Beach Boys 2021 Tour Announcement – 60th Anniversary Tour Schedule
The Beach Boys are taking their surf and pop-rock hits across the country, including their native California! The legendary group will celebrate six decades in show business with 2021 tour dates – beginning on August 26th in Huntington, NY, and ending on December 12th in Memphis, TN. The Beach Boys even have performances scheduled into 2022!
Can you believe that The Beach Boys have been around for sixty years? The four-piece band from Hawthorne, CA, rose to fame in the 1960s, one of the few American rock bands to maintain commercial success after the British invasion. In fact, the group’s California-inspired culture became their brand while inspiring countless subgenres and helping them sell over 100 million records!
This 60th Anniversary tour will celebrate all singles, albums, and unknown hits from The Beach Boys. While they have not released an album of new material in nearly a decade, the group did just release a new compilation album, Feel Flows – The Sunflower & Surf’s Up Sessions 1969-1971. It features many of the group’s early hits, plus an acapella version of “Surf’s Up” and an updated rendition of “This Whole World” with an alternate ending.
These songs will certainly be played by The Beach Boys on the upcoming tour, along with “Surfin’ USA,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “California Girls,” and other hit songs that pay homage to their Southern California roots.
While all four group members are currently around eighty years old, they’ll always be The Beach Boys. Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, and Bruce Johnston have stuck together through the best and worst of times, and their bond is unbreakable.
The good? Twenty-nine studio albums (and even more live and compilation records,) a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and topping nearly every Rolling Stone list of the greatest bands in the world. The bad? The tragic passing of former bandmates, including Brian Wilson’s brothers Carl and Dennis. Their legacy will never be forgotten, while the influence of all three Wilson brothers is apparent at any The Beach Boys concert.
It’s not every day that you get to see a band as legendary as The Beach Boys perform in person, and their 60th Anniversary Tour is going to be one to remember. Check the tour schedule below and get tickets now!
