Sum 41 2022 Tour Announcement – Blame Canada Tour Schedule
Sum 41 and Simple Plan are embarking on the Blame Canada tour, an ironic take on their hometown that hits 35 US cities this spring. You can see the two Canadian rock outfits beginning April 29th in Raleigh, NC, with shows continuing through August 18th in Denver, CO.
“We have known the guys in Simple Plan for a very long time and know these shows are going to be great,” Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley said in a statement. “We cannot wait to hit the road with them! We have a lot of fans in common and we know they have waited for this for a very, very long time!
It’s a true sentiment, as the two bands have quite a bit in common besides their Canadian roots. Both emerged in the late 1990s and became sweethearts in the 2000s pop-punk and punk rock scenes, sharing the stages at beloved festivals like Warped Tour. Additionally, both bands are celebrating the 20-year-anniversary of their most popular albums. Who else remembers Does This Look Infected? by Sum 41 and Simple Plan’s No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls, respectively?
The Blame Canada tour is a tribute to their records that made them famous while also celebrating their lasting achievements over the past two decades. Sum 41 and Simple Plan have toured with the biggest rock bands in the world (including each other!), sold millions of records, and made a name their themselves as pop-punk heroes.
