Static-X and Sevendust 2023 Tour Announcement – Machine Killer Tour Schedule
Static-X and Sevendust are co-headlining the “Machine Killer Tour” in the fall of 2023! Joined by Dope, the nu-metal heavyweights will begin on October 6th in Houston, TX. They’ll stop in 21 cities before concluding on November 1st in Los Angeles, CA.
“We can’t wait to hit the road with our friends in Static-X and Dope,” says Sevendust’s Lajon Witherspoon. “It has been 24 years since we last shared a stage with those guys. We can’t wait to do it again this fall and to bring together all of our family members together in one place.” Static-X backed up this sentiment, stating that the Machine Killer trek is “going to be one for the ages.” For the record, we have no doubt about it.
Both groups are supporting brand-new albums, meaning that we’ll get a setlist of both classic and modern nu-metal essentials! Sevendust is set to release their 14th record, Truth Killer, next month, and fans are already prepared to mosh. Just take one listen to singles like “Fence” and “Everything,” which represent everything you’ve loved about Sevendust since 1994!
It won’t be easy to top their last record, 2020’s critically-acclaimed Blood & Stone, but they’re going to try. Every last one of these new tracks is a nu-metal masterpiece, and we’re not ruling out the possibility of a heavy duet between Sevendust and Static-X. Speaking of which, their bandmates have a few new things of their own to celebrate. They’ve just wrapped up their mega-successful “Rise of the Machine Tour” and are set to release the album, Project: Regeneration: Vol. 2, in the fall.
This record will be the last to feature recordings of the late Wayne Static, who fronted the band from its beginnings in 1990s Los Angeles to his untimely death in 2014. It’s a bittersweet tribute that’s destined to leave a few people in the audience in tears. But not before they hardcore dance along to old favorites like “The Only,” “Cold,” “Love Dump,” and “Push It.”
It took the band a long while to reform after the loss of their lead singer, but Static-X has been back in business for the past several years. And you can bet that they’ll bring their all when touring with their old friends in Sevendust and Dope. Will you be there to party with these nu-metal heroes?
