Smashing Pumpkins 2023 Tour Announcement – The World Is A Vampire Tour Schedule
“Today” is the greatest… day for a Smashing Pumpkins tour announcement! The alternative rock icons are heading on the “The World is A Vampire tour” in the fall of 2023, joined by Interpol, Stone Temple Pilots, and Rival Sons for 26 performances. They’ll kick off on July 28th in Las Vegas, NV, continuing through September 9th in Noblesville, IN.
“I grew up in a world where I needed to know bands like Siouxsie and the Banshees and The Cure existed; it meant there was a place for people like me to hang out and belong,” says Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan. “That’s what The World Is A Vampire is about. Bringing back that sense of community. If you don’t fit in, you belong here. It’s about having a shared experience and respecting others, but ultimately having fun. A true alternative festival, where all the self-proclaimed weirdos and outsiders of the world can get together and have a party.”
The “outsiders” of the universe have flocked to Smashing Pumpkins concerts ever since they formed in Chicago in 1988, and it’s easy to see why. The band’s sound is a mix of gothic rock, dream pop, alternative rock, psychedelia, and shoegaze that’s defied expectations and served as an eternal anthem for alternative kids! Corgan and co. continue to put out one quality release after another, even after three decades, and can’t wait to share their latest release before this tour.
They’ll come out with their twelfth album, and the final act of the Atum rock opera series, on May 5th. And if new songs like “Spellbinding,” “1979,” and “Empires” are any indication, they’re destined to end the Atum era of their careers with a bang! Prepare to be blown away by Corgan’s notoriously dreamy voice and ethereal stage backdrops as he transports you to another dimension of sight and especially sound. There’s no other band out there that puts on the phenomenal visual and auditory experience of the Smashing Pumpkins, which is something you’ll need to see to believe.
As much as you loved last year’s Smashing Pumpkins concerts, including the “Rock Invasion 2” and “Spirits on Fire” tours, the “The World Is a Vampire Tour” will be even more scarily great. Get your tickets today!
