Skillet 2024 Tour Announcement – Day of Destiny Tour Schedule
Skillet is taking their fans on an epic journey with the “Day of Destiny tour!” Named for last year’s deluxe album, the Christian rockers will kick off on June 6th in Decatur, IL, continuing through July 26th in Dubuque, IA.
Last year, the Tennessee-based band treated fans to Dominion: Day of Destiny, a deluxe edition of their 2022 release, Dominion. With four new songs and one re-recording, it’s symbolic of Skillet as a band, while also showcasing their fearlessness in the realm of musical experimentation. For instance, the first new track, “Crossfire,” is a commercially-pleasing heavy track that wouldn’t be out of place in a video game.
Meanwhile, “Psycho in My Head” takes on electronic elements that most Skillet fans aren’t used to, and that’s perfectly okay. When you sprinkle in the glam rock realness of “Unbreakable Soul” and in-your-face chorus of “The Defiant,” you’ll see that Skillet is taking risks unlike anything they’ve done in nearly three decades together. And we love them for it.
Formed in 1996 and led by the dynamic husband-and-wife duo John and Korey Cooper, Skillet has earned a reputation as some of the best Christian rockers around. They blend personality with prayer to craft some of the most compelling hits you’ve heard in the genre, like “Monster,” “The Resistance,” and “Hero.” All of which will make an appearance on the Skillet tour.
