Sigur Rós are on their way to a city near you in May 2022. The famed Icelandic group will begin the North American leg of their trek on May 9th in Vancouver, BC, and continue through 22 major stops before ending with a two-night event at New York City’s Beacon Theatre.
There are tons of group milestones that fans can appreciate on this Sigur Rós tour. It marks the band’s first world tour in five years, their reunion with keyboardist Kjartan Sveinsson after a nine-year absence, and the promise of playing new material off their upcoming record. There’s no set release date yet for the eighth Sigur Rós album, their first since 2013, but we know their new songs will be dreamy and dance-worthy.

The Icelandic band is famous for their ethereal sound – which includes Jónsi’s flawless falsetto, and their “art-rock meets dream-pop” choruses.
