Senses Fail and Saves the Day 2024 Tour Announcement – New Jersey vs. The World Tour Schedule
Senses Fail and Saves the Day are the latest emo veterans to hit the road in 2024, and this won’t just be any regular trek! They’re paying tribute to their home state on the “New Jersey vs. The World Tour,” along with two respective album anniversaries to usher in nostalgia and never-ending tears. The two groups will begin on November 5th in Austin, TX, continuing through December 8th in Tempe, AZ.
“I am so honored to be able to go on tour to celebrate a release from 20 years ago,” says Buddy Nielsen of Senses Fail, referring to the band’s debut, 2004’s Let It Enfold You. “If you had told me all that time again that we’d still be able to make music and tour this far into our career, I would be blown away. To have the privilege to tour with one of our main influences in Saves The Day as they celebrate one of my favorite records of all time is absolutely a blessing. I cannot wait to get out on the road.”
Senses Fail will be playing this album in its entirety each night, including singles like “Buried a Lie” and “Rum Is For Drinking, Not For Burning.” At the same time, their tour mates will be celebrating a milestone of their own…the 25th anniversary of the second Saves the Day album, Through Being Cool. And they’re just as excited to bring these emo anthems back to life. Just ask frontman Chris Conley, who’s devotion to both his genre and his hometown is simply infectious.
Together we plan on bringing the spirit of New Jersey to life on stage in a city near you,” he says. “Let’s all sing along to our favorite songs like we did way back in the day!” The term “elder emo” comes into focus with both of these bands, who played tiny venues in Jersey as they worked to promote these early records. What pursued later was widespread fame, millions of albums sold, and stadium shows with the biggest names in rock, but they’ll never forget where they came from.
In fact, this shared love of New Jersey and old-school emo collided back in 2020 when Senses Fail and Saves the Day collaborated on a mini-EP of Misfits covers. And we would be lying if we said we didn’t hope they’d collaborate onstage to sing “Attitude,” “We Are 138,” or “Some Kinda Hate.” However, this is first and foremost an anniversary tour, and we know these two bands will bring their all on the New Jersey vs. The World Tour.
