Rosalía is taking her Motomami tour across the US, and we can’t wait to see the rising star take the stage. The reggaeton-pop singer will kick off the trek on September 15th in Boston, MA, with visits to Chicago, IL, Toronto, ON, Houston, TX, and more before the final show in Miami, FL, on October 22nd.
“I’ve always considered myself a storyteller. Motomami is the most personal story I’ve told,” the 29-year-old singer told Rolling Stone. “In my head, Motomami makes sense as a concept, as a feminine figure building herself. So, that’s how it goes: It’s almost like a self-portrait when an artist makes a self-portrait in the context of the modern world.”
The album is undoubtedly autobiographical, as a “feminine figure building herself” describes Rosalia to perfection. She’s made a name for herself as a mature, genre-bending, mega-talented rising star since she started in 2013, and she’s unlike any other singer on the market. Billboard said it best when they presented her with their “Rising Star Award” in 2019. She’s “changing the sound of today’s mainstream music with her fresh flamenco-influenced pop.”
