Ricardo Montaner 2023 Tour Announcement – Ya Te Echo De Menos Tour Schedule

Ricardo Montaner has announced the “Ya Te Echo De Menos Tour,” taking the Argentine singer to thirteen cities in spring 2023. He’ll kick off on March 31st in Miami, FL, making stops in Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, Los Angeles, CA, and more before concluding on May 7th in Seattle, WA.

The name of this Ricardo Montaner tour translates to “I miss you” in English, and it’s a sweet gesture from the Argentine superstar. He’s been performing in front of millions of fans for nearly half a century, and it’s been way too long since he embarked on a full-length headlining trek. Luckily for Latin pop fans, that’s about to change! He’s celebrating the release of his 24th album, 2022’s Tango, in style, and it’s only a few more months before you can see Montaner in all the biggest US cities. 

“This album is my union with my DNA, with my roots, and to some extent, it fulfills a promise made to my grandfather and father,” Montaner recently stated at a virtual press conference in Latin America. “When I was a boy, he would put me on the table and tell me he was a chaplain tango singer. I will fulfill my promise to some extent.” While he’s been known as a Latin pop icon since the late 1970s, courtesy of hits like “La Gloria de Dios,” “Amen,” and “Besame,” he’s taking a step back to return to his Buenos Aires roots…tango and all. 

“This is a genre that I have always liked; from time to time, I sang tango to myself. But I have never taken it so seriously,” Montaner continued. “I think this is a challenge that was very appealing to me, but at the same time, when I was tempted to do it before, I hoped to be mature and free as an artist.” Now 65, the artist is ready to tango, literally! “I was looking for the best for it, the teacher made the best arrangement, and of course, he was in a studio advised by celebrities who know about tango,” he concluded, “It was very fluid, it was not difficult, but very serious, and I am very pleased with the result.”
