Ray LaMontagne and Gregory Alan Isakov 2024 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Ray LaMontagne and Gregory Alan Isakov are co-headlining a tour together later in 2024, bringing together folk music fans from around the world! The two artists will kick off on September 4th in Missoula, MT, continuing through October 13th in Raleigh, NC.
The two men have been name-dropped together for many years now, as both share a talent for acoustic guitar and fresh folk hooks that even the greats have commended. Therefore, it was only a matter of time before Ray LaMontagne and Gregory Alan Isakov hit the road together. And fans are rubbing their hands in anticipation! Both will celebrate anniversaries, semi-new tunes, and more on this storied trek, which will surely go down in folk music history.
LaMontagne has spent the last few years touring in support of his eighth album, 2020’s Monovision, which received solid four-star reviews from publications like AllMusic and American Songwriter. With his husky voice and earthy energy, people fell in love with songs like “Roll Me Mama, Roll Me” and “Rocky Mountain Healin.” Even four years later, they’re anxious to hear these tracks on the road again, along with older favorites as LaMontagne celebrates the 20th anniversary of his debut, 2004’s Trouble.
Who can forget the songs that made LaMontagne famous, like “Hannah,” “Jolene,” and the titular track? The GRAMMY winner intends to do justice to his first record on this tour, in addition to celebrating his longtime friend and fellow folk hero who he’s finally getting to tour with. That’s right, it’s time we talk about Gregory Alan Isakov. Also known as the folk noir master who turns melancholic lyrics into distinctive melodies and so much more.
With his banjo skills, beautifully soft voice, and impressive ability to turn his feelings of loss, lust, or love into uplifting anthems, Isakov has earned legions of fans worldwide. The South African singer most recently came out with Appaloosa Bones, a critically-acclaimed project that reached No. 81 on the Billboard 200! Songs like “Silver Bell,” “One Day,” “Watchman” and the title track have proven to be crowd pleasers, while he also has plenty of classics to whisk the crowd away with.
From “The Stable Song” and “San Luis” to “Master & A Hound” and “If I Go, I’m Goin,” no Gregory Alan Isakov songs are off limits on this tour…especially if his old friend LaMontagne joins him onstage! Gear up for a night of gorgeous folk tracks, commemorations, and potential surprises with these two men, as tickets to see Ray LaMontagne and Gregory Alan Isakov are available now.
