The 49-year-old singer continues to celebrate his 2020 album, Monovision, which publications by AllMusic and American Songwriter critically acclaimed. The latter called the record an “organic return to his roots” while claiming that “there’s soothing, but never clichéd warmth in this retro-style.” After a few years of space rock with albums like Supernova, Ouroboros, and Part of the Light… Monovision is a familiar-yet-fresh take on the folk-rock that his oldest fans fell in love with.
