Queens Of The Stone Age 2024 Tour Announcement – Canadian Tour Schedule

Queens Of The Stone Age are heading to Canada on the next leg of their “The End Is Nero Tour!” Featuring The Struts as support, the alternative rock group will kick off on April 1st in Calgary, AB. They’ll stop in Saskatoon, SK, London, ON, Ottawa, ON, and more before wrapping up on the 17th in Halifax, NS.

Prior to their scheduled appearances at US music festivals like Shaky Knees and Welcome To Rockville in May, the Seattle-based band will shred their way across the Great White North. And with some brand new songs on the setlist, too! The eighth Queens Of The Stone Age album, In Times New Roman, was released last June, and became an instant hit among fans and critics.

Singles like “Emotion Sickness,” “Carnavoyeur,” and “Paper Machete” are alternative at their core, but somehow manage to fuse every strand of rock under the sun. From the stoner rock label that Queens Of The Stone Age has long found controversial, to the blues and electronic elements that make their way into some, but not all, projects…these sub-genres are all present and in their prime on In Times New Roman.

Frontman Josh Homme and his bandmates held nothing back on their first record since 2017’s Villains, partially because he felt he had nothing left to lose. In the six years between albums, his personal life went haywire with divorce proceedings, tragic deaths, health issues, and more. But instead of sitting around and crying about it, Homme channeled his pain into one of the most fearless Queens Of The Stone Age albums yet. And for a band that’s been around for nearly three decades, that’s saying quite a bit.

“I think this is the first time I didn’t want to make a record, but I was dealing with a lot of stuff in my personal life,” Homme recently told Revolver. “We recorded a lot of stuff. I think I was doing it because when I’m in trouble, this is what I do. This is where I go to get right.” You know where else he goes in times of trouble? The road.
