Queens of the Stone Age 2023 Tour Announcement – The End is Nero Tour Schedule
Queens of the Stone Age has announced its first headlining trek since 2019, called “The End is Nero Tour!” Joined by Phantogram, The Armed, Viagra Boys, and Jehnny Beth, they’ll begin on August 3rd in Sterling Heights, MI. The alternative rock band will hit up 28 cities before wrapping up on October 8th in Sacramento, CA.
“The End Is Nero tour is an invitation from Joshua Homme, Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita, and Jon Theodore to come celebrate the end of the world, which we hear is ‘in a month or two,’” Queens of the Stone Age said in a statement. “They would like to encourage the obscene and the clean, the outcasts and the weirdos, and anyone and everyone in between to attend; this is where you belong. Leave your judgment at the door; bring anything and everything else.”
Queens of the Stone Age have kept up their reputation for weirdness for nearly three decades now. Since forming in Seattle, WA, in 1996, their shows have been a meeting ground for misfits that makes you want to sing along to every song as you own your eccentricity. Seriously, they make it clear that all are welcome here, and we love them for it. Just watch their tour announcement video to see what we mean…and why you need to snatch up tickets to a Queens of the Stone Age concert, ASAP!
Sure, it’s been a while since we heard from Josh Homme and his bandmates. But from what we’ve heard so far, it’s been well worth the wait. Queens of the Stone Age will release their eighth album, In Times New Roman, on June 16th, featuring new songs like “Emotional Sickness” and “Carnavoyeur.” These tracks combine the alternative elements you know and love with the stoner rock that Queens of the Stone Age has dabbled with over the past two decades.
Sure, they haven’t always loved their stoner rock reputation, but Homme and co. have rightfully accepted it in recent years. And let’s say that these new songs will make for a very fun mosh pit on The End Is Nero Tour. Along with older tracks like “Mosquito Song,” “Go With the Flow,” “Song For the Dead,” and Little Sister,” obviously! We’re in a new era of Queens of the Stone Age, and we can’t wait to witness some of the best rock shows of 2023.
