Puscifer, Primus, and A Perfect Circle 2024 Tour Announcement – Sessanta Tour Schedule
Maynard James Keenan is celebrating his 60th birthday with the 2024 “Sessanta Tour!” Puscifer and A Perfect Circle (the Tool frontman’s two side projects) are joining forces with Primus for the ultimate rock show. The three groups will kick off on April 16th in Phoenix, AZ, continuing through the 26th in Denver, CO.
Any rock fan understands the impact of Maynard James Keenan, as he’s easily one of the genre’s most recognizable frontmen. Combining alternative metal riffs with art rock visuals for a vibe that’s entirely his own, he’s helped Tool become the Grammy-winning, multiplatinum-selling band they are today. But what about his other projects? Puscifer and A Perfect Circle deserve just as much love as Keenan’s main group. And they’re definitely going to get it on the Sessanta Tour.
Similar to the “Cinquanta Tour” that Keenan hosted a decade ago in honor of his 50th birthday, this trek will feature a flawlessly unpredictable format. Keenan isn’t the only one who will go back and forth between bands! While Puscifer, A Perfect Circle, and Primus all have their own sets, they’ll also borrow each other’s musicians throughout the night. Primus frontman Les Claypool may join Keenan for a duet or two. Meanwhile, they may even switch guitarists or drummers for the most rock and roll switch-up ever.
“It took some massaging, and some long days in rehearsal, but we managed to seamlessly pull off this three-song rotation at Cinquanta, my 50th birthday shows, at The Greek Theatre in 2014,” Keenan says of the Sessanta Tour, which also sees A Perfect Circle’s first live performances in over five years. “Bands aren’t used to simultaneously sharing the stage with other bands, but if anyone can do it, it’s Primus, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer.” We detect no lies!
