Pretty Lights 2024 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule

Pretty Lights has a handful of shows coming up in 2024! The electronic project, fronted by DJ and producer Derek Smith, will next play on August 2nd at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO. It will stop in Bethel, NY, Minneapolis, MN, and St. Augustine, FL, before concluding on December 7th in Boston, MA.

For those who didn’t know, Pretty Lights is Smith’s brainchild that he began exactly 20 years ago in Colorado. Once dubbed “the face and voice of the new American electronic music scene” by Rick Rubin, he’s released one EDM banger after another. From “Finally Moving” and “Hot Like Sauce” to “I Can See It In Your Face” and “So Bright,” Pretty Lights has headlined the world’s biggest and brightest electronic music festivals.

That being said, he did take a well-deserved breather for a while, which made Pretty Lights 2023 comeback after a five-year hiatus that much more exciting. While last year was a lot of festival appearances, 2024 marked the first full-length Pretty Lights tour in ages, creatively dubbed the “Soundship Spacesystem Tour.” Filled with vibrant stage lights, epic dance parties, and celestial themes that gave a new meaning to “space jam,” Smith once again proved himself as an electronic mastermind

And the best part? He’s far from finished! He’s returning to his Colorado hometown very soon to make an appearance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, a venue that’s near and dear to his heart. What can we expect to hear? Plenty of tracks from the last Pretty Lights album, 2013’s A Color Map of the Sun, which earned a GRAMMY nomination. This record also made its mark on the electronic genre with its use of live session musicians, as opposed to pre-recorded samples.

This set a standard in EDM and the album is still talked about over a decade later, which is just one of many examples of how Pretty Lights has impacted the music world.
