Phillip Phillips 2023 Tour Announcement – Drift Back Tour Schedule
Phillip Phillips is ready to “Drift Back” to your city! The American Idol alum is celebrating his first album in half a decade, and it will be a doozy. He’ll kick off on October 5th in Washington, DC, making 20+ stops before concluding on November 11th in New Orleans, LA.
“The years that have passed since my last album have truly been life-changing,” Phillips wrote on Instagram. “The world tilted on its axis. I became a dad. I grew in my marriage. I learned to parent and be a husband during a pandemic. This album reflects the wins and losses I experienced during those years. I have learned, loved, and lived. I am excited to drift back to what I’ve always loved with my fans and that is music.”
“I am so proud of this album and how it puts my soul into the song and brings you all into my life a little bit more, for better or for worse,” he concluded. “Let’s drift back to the good stuff.” Phillips began teasing his new album several months ago with a new single, “Dancing With Your Shadows.” The upbeat pop-rock tune has a dance-worthy rhythm with surprisingly sad lyrics, displaying how the 32-year-old singer has no issue showing his emotions. Even when he’s feeling dozens of them at once.
New songs like “So Will I,” “Strangers,” “Love Like That,” and “Calm Before the Storm” tackle the most difficult of topics but always conclude with a light at the end of the tunnel. Was the pandemic difficult for Phillip Phillips? Of course, but he’s grateful for his health and beautiful family. And it doesn’t hurt that quarantine gave him the time to complete his first album in five years.
A lot has happened since 2018’s Collateral, and Phillip Phillips sings about every last bit of it on his latest album, Drift Back. He’s a father and husband first and foremost, but also one of the best folk-pop singers on the planet, and he doesn’t hold back his vocal abilities on his latest project. Whether you fell in love with him while watching American Idol over a decade ago or just discovered him on his anniversary trek last year, you can’t miss your chance to see Phillip Phillips bare his soul.
The setlist will include not only his brand-new tunes, but also older favorites like “Dance With Me,” “Home,” “Where We Came From,” and “Magnetic!” Which track are you most excited to hear? Get your tickets to see Phillip Phillips in the following cities today.
