Parkway Drive 2023 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Parkway Drive has announced its first US tour in nearly four years, and we can’t wait to see the Aussie metalcore darlings! They’ll kick off on January 31st, 2023, in Los Angeles, CA, and make stops in Houston, TX, Columbus, OH, Nashville, TN, and more before concluding on February 16th in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
“We’re very excited to announce that we’re coming back to the United States: ‘𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐊𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐋’ USA 2023,” Parkway Drive wrote on Instagram, “With @memphismayfire and @currents joining us on this ride.” The group’s seventh album, Darker Still, was released in September 2022 to major excitement, as it’s been four long years since they debuted new music. It’s safe to say that it was worth the wait! Fans have shared their love on social media for new singles like “Glitch,” “The Greatest Fear,” and the titular track, while music publications expressed how excited they were for the first Parkway Drive tour and album since 2018.
“Parkway went through hell making this record, and they’ve got the scars to prove it, but they made it out alive to continue their rocket-powered trajectory,” wrote Kerrang! “These songs of strength survival aren’t platitudes; they’re promises.” Louder Sound agreed and went into even further detail about the band’s journey from mid-2000s metal newbies to the bonafide rockstars they are today. “A continuation of the steady evolution over the band’s past few efforts, Darker Still’s distillation of ideas into a more methodical, deliberate sound is perfectly aimed for the arenas and headline slots the band now comfortably occupy.”
While the band is playing more intimate venues on this Parkway Drive tour, they’re definitely comfortable enough to be playing arenas too. They’ve been hard rock heroes since their 2005 debut, Killing With a Smile, and you can bet that you’ll hear all types of hits from their nearly two-decade career at these concerts.
