Pantera 2024 Tour Announcement – Reunion Tour Schedule
Ready for round two of the Pantera tour? Your favorite heavy metal heroes are hitting the road for more reunion shows, and it’s going to be a groovy, guitar-riff-ridden experience for all. Joined once again by Lamb of God, they’ll kick off these Pantera concerts on February 3rd in Sunrise, FL. They’ll stop in Lexington, KY, Memphis, TN, Baltimore, MD, and more before concluding on the 27th in Québec City, QC.
“Looking forward to jamming with everybody,” Pantera frontman Philip Anselmo said in a statement. “These shows mean a lot and we aim to kick ass! Love y’all!” When the first Pantera tour in two decades was announced earlier this year, metalheads everywhere prepared for a thrash-fest unlike any other. But while the excitement was palpable, countless questions still lingered in the air for the band, crew, and community.
Will they still be the same group without late guitarist Dimebag Darrell and drummer Vinnie Paul, the brothers who founded Pantera all the way back in 1981? Will they have new music to debut, or mostly pull from their greatest albums like 1984’s Projects in the Jungle and 1990’s Cowboys From Hell? These qualms were all answered when the legendary metal band took the stage, putting on hair-raising and headbang-worthy live shows that were somehow even more epic after all this time.
While we missed Dimebag Darrell’s world-renowned guitar shredding and his brother, Vinnie Paul, thunderously playing the drums like no one was watching, Pantera ensures that they paid tribute to the late brothers. Touring guitarist Zakk Wylde even opened up about it in a recent interview. “The Pantera thing is beautiful every night,” he says. “I’m really happy the fellas put it together so people can still hear Vinnie and Dime’s greatness.”
Their musical genius and heavy metal mastery is felt with every song — from “Walk” and “Cowboys From Hell” to “Mouth For War” and “I’m Broken.” And while Pantera hasn’t put out an album since 2000’s Reinventing The Steel, and has no plans to record new music that we know of…there’s plenty of heavy metal hits to go around. Get ready for a night of legacy and lively hard rock as these new Pantera concerts come underway, with tickets available now!
